At Skånes Djurpark, we think it's given that you should have fun at work. And, we've won international awards for that!

In 2018, we won two international awards from at the industry Oscars for the way we work with our young staff, which is in line with our goal: to be Sweden's (and the world's) best place to work! 

At Skånes Djurpark, we do not recruit our Adventurers after their CV. What we care about is their personality and charisma. 

We're very often your child's very first job, and we're very aware of this responsibility! We want to make sure our Adventurers learn as much as possible about what it means to have a job, plan your time and take responsibility. In addition to valuable learning about what it means to have a job, they gain experience in everything from guest experience and Food & Beverage  to shows and attractions.

The job as an Adventurer is designed to be combined with school. You work weekends and holidays, but for those who can and want to there is also opportunities to work evenings, nights and weekdays.

Since we are very often your child's first job, we view it as our task to make sure they learn what it means to have a job, but also to plan well to make sure school comes first. Our Adventurers decide themselves how much they want to work during the season, and when they want time off. Before each schedule is published you can apply for time off, and your application is always granted!

The hiring process and training process before the first workday looks like this: 

• Application - The candidate applies through the link that you find further down the page. The first 500 to submit a complete application are called to an Audition (interview)
• Interview - We recruit Adventurers through the Adventure Academies, which are three hours long group interviews where they learn about guest experience, and we learn loads about the candidates. 
• Employment - Out of the up to 800 applicants, about 150 get the job! They are notified through email.
• Training period - The Adventurers are trained within their areas. Some of the training is done digitally, other areas are done on site in the park. 
• Graduation - The training period is finished with Graduation, a big celebration to mark the start of the new season. 
• First day at work!
